If you are an HR professional, The New Talent Times article, “Want to Be an HR Executive? Establish a Track Record of Tenure” by Erin Osterhaus of the Software Advice blog, is an excellent read. According to a private study of top HR executives from some of the largest organizations in the world, not only is educational background (discussed in Osterhaus’ prior article) important to becoming a top HR executive, but tenure as well. Of the 200 job histories studied, the majority worked at 3 or fewer companies and an average of 17 years prior to landing that coveted “corner office” job. Click here to read the whole article.
