Is marijuana really a challenge for employers and what industries are affected? Given the acceptance of “medical marijuana” as a treatment for a variety of illnesses, can employers still have “zero tolerance” substance abuse policies in place? What advice do you typically give to employers when it comes to marijuana in the workplace?

Joe Aitchison, Senior Vice President of Business Strategies of the HR service company, BASIC, says you’d better grab a good lawyer as the confusion grows, as he joins SC&C CEO, Fred Coon, to discuss this controversial topic.

Joe is a nationally recognized speaker on Employment Practice and Regulatory Compliance and works with a broad sector of clients ranging in size from a few employees to large domestic and international multi location organizations have several thousand employees.  He has worked with several groups facing challenges with medical and recreational marijuana-use.
