“Now, I know what a perfect job interview feels like.”
I’m pleased to announce the Neil has accepted the position of Project Manager with XXXX. Neil came to us after having retired from a 30 year career in the Navy. His most recent position was as Command Master Chief, the highest rank an enlisted sailor can achieve. He had obtained both his bachelor’s and MBA while in the Navy.
He was seeking a position in the private sector where he could utilize his operations and process improvement experience. His challenge was in translating his military experience so that private sector employers would not only understand but also be impressed by his experience.
We worked on translating his experience both in his written materials and his verbal presentation in interviews, and also on targeting companies that would appreciate his military experience and his Top Secret/SCI security clearance. Within a month of signing with us, he began interviewing with several companies and after his interviews with XXXX, he said this:
“Now I know what a perfect job interview feels like. No negatives, lasted 45 minutes, experience perfect, and no other candidates. Will hear more next week. Thanks for all of your great training.”
Two weeks later he received the job offer and was happy to move forward with this company without waiting for any of the other companies with which he had interviewed. He felt this was the perfect job for him.
Thank you to Blaine Johnston for recognizing what a fantastic client Neil would be and for bringing him to us; to Mike Fox for your exceptional documents; to Tessa Philiposian for your excellent marketing of him—getting him an interview quickly with one of only 7 target companies he had submitted and to Fred Coon for reaching out to him as part of his research for one of his military transition articles.
