I am pleased to announce that Dave has successfully landed as Sales & Marketing Director for XXXX. Dave was referred to us by AndyZ, another SC&C-CT client who worked for him at his last company. Dave’s challenge was that although he had significant sales & marketing experience, it was all in the real estate industry.
He wanted to explore new industries in addition to possibly staying in real estate. He did a lot of networking and spent a great deal of time on LinkedIn™. He actually found this job on LinkedIn™, applied and was called for an interview. He had several interviews over 2 months, including 4 rounds with 16 people, and ultimately got the offer. He talked to us about interviewing with their executive team including the CEO who he will be reporting to and learned how to ask questions that lead him to sharing his stories, since they were not asking him detailed questions. The CEO, after his interview with Dave, commented on how much he enjoyed their discussion.
He is so excited about entering this new and exciting industry that has huge growth potential, and he doesn’t need to move. They are even letting him continue to pursue some of his RE consulting projects on the side. He starts on Monday. Dave most attributes his success to the rigorous process of defining his achievements and stories, and learning how to effectively use these stories in unstructured interviews.
