I am pleased to announce that Bruce has accepted the position of SVP of Banking Solutions for XXXX, running deposit products, digital banking channels, payment systems and contact centers. Bruce came to us through Tom Kelsay He had a very unusual employment situation in that his most recent employer was a company that was under contract with a company that had him assigned to Microsoft. One of our challenges was in how to articulate this work experience in a way that was accurate but not confusing to potential employers. He also admits to being an introvert and needed assistance in selling himself in interviews and getting comfortable in networking.

He accepted a contract position at Starbuck’s HQ and that contract was extended several times. He was in the midst of interviewing at Starbucks and XXXX. After receiving an offer from XXXX and doing some negotiating, he has accepted this position.

When asked what were the most helpful aspects of the SCC program to his search he said there were three key ingredients, as follows:

1) The worksheets, although difficult, forced him to think about himself.
2) The coaching on networking and relationship building throughout his job search.
3) The interviewing assistance and practice sessions both by phone and during his Phoenix Experience.
